Late summer greeting 2021

Hi, friends. How have you been? It had been raining so long this month here. I hadn't seen blue sky for about ten days. Meanwhile, I also hear heavy rain or serious heat wave had hit on some other areas on this planet. How's your place? I hope you are all doing well.

One day in those rainy days, I stopped by a larger library for refreshing. The number of visitors seemed more than usual, and I thought they might think similar things with me; the library is the best place to walk around on a rainy day.

The library has a natural lifestyle magazine called "ku-yon" . Its latest issue includes a column about COVID-19 and its vaccine by Dr. Shinjiro Honma, a pediatrician and specialist in virology. It is based on facts and data, so it is quite convincing. Though I guess there should be such decent and rational experts in your country as well, if you read Japanese, his column is also worth reading.

It cleared up my gloomy feeling. These days, I often feel disappointed to see there is an atmosphere that many people regard those who decide not to get vaccinated or those who want to see if the vaccine is really necessary for them as weird villains. Dr. Honma clearly says it is purely depending on individual decision whether they take one or not, with offering us important information for making a decision based on facts and the latest data.

I have also read his book title "Kansen-sho wo osorenai kurashi-kata (Lifestyle without fearing infections)". It proposes a lot of ways to improve our own immune system and maintain good health. It relieved me a lot and made me think that my immune system can get much more powerful than virus. If I take care of my body enough and maintain a natural life, I do not catch any virus. If I should catch one, my natural immune system takes them out soon, so the symptom would be mild.

What he recommends in this book includes taking fermenting foods for strengthening our natural barrier of beneficial bacteria, avoiding chemical substances as possible, eating natural foods, and having gratitude. If you read Japanese, it is also a good reference.

Other days during those rainy days, I spent almost all day at home. The gray sky and high humidity let me down but scenes through the window was quite encouraging. During a short lull of the rain. bees came out to gather honey. They looked so busy. Butterflies were staying on a tip of a flower in an angle that they could feed on honey but they did not get wet so much. Natural creatures show great power and wisdom to live. They gave great lessons to me.

Bye now. Hope to write you soon again. I wish you happy days  in the early Autumn, too. Bye!
